So today I have ventured out like
this grasshopper into the world. I've put my first commercial
property under contract under my company. Now comes the process
of figuring out in the next 60 days. |

Erin traded in her car today, she
found out her credit was good enough & ran off to trade-in her ford
explorer for a metallic-blue pontiac aztek. Now only if refinancing
a house was that simple and could be done for 4 hours of your life with
a underwriter. Was a nice surprise to end the day with the christmas
bonus's for the year, knowing all the things going on in the background
at CCI. |

Attempted to see the new lord of
the rings movie, the 11:00pm movie just doesn't sound that appealing
when the movie is 3.5 hours long. |

Had a nice restful day, finished
the last of my Xmas shopping (I hope) although still need to find my
bag full of stocking stuffers. |

Nothing like working the last few
days before Xmas thinking of all the last minute things you need to
run around and do. |

Went to a Xmas party for Erin's
work today. A nice warmer day with clear blue skies and a slight breeze.
Failed attempt to see the new Lord of the Rings movie - Return of the
King, when only the 11:00pm movie isn't sold out it's hard to convince
yourself to sit through a 3.5 hour movie at that time. |

Turned Xmas eve into xmas for the
growing family, as we plan to be running around for the holidays to
both parents houses in Houston and Georgetown. For xmas this year
I got a wacom tablet and a table saw from Erin along with other random
little gifts. I got Erin a Nikon N75 film camera, a sapphire ring,
and other assorted gifts. Noah got a trove of toys and gifts to
keep himself entertained during the day. |

Slept overnight at Ashley's house
on the floor so that we wouldn't have to make a long drive at the crack
of dawn on xmas day. Good thing Erin isn't as big a pet lover
as her sister, I think all the animals would drive me insane.
We camped out with 5 other dog, 2 were barricaded in the bathroom, and
3 in the laundry room, so we had surround sound dog noises throughout
the night so listen to when we weren't up tending to Noah. Strangely
those couch cushions seemed extremely comfortable, amazing how things
feel when you body is sleep deprived. Spent Xmas day at Erin's
parents house, unwrapping presents and eating meals throughout the day. |

The wandering continued today as
we ventured over to Houston to visit my parents. We took the opportunity
to roam around the local children's stores and better selection of retail
stores. |

My parents had a semi-open house
today with a few families coming over to converse and enjoy finger foods.
We returned to Austin this evening to be able to start relaxing &
enjoying some of the winter festivities. Seems that we never quite
made it to the trail of lights this year, something to make sure to
see next year wit Noah. |

Spent the day trying to finish
the eviction process for my duplex and get the tenants out, to start
the cleaning process and getting the B side rented again. Nothing
hurts the cash flow worse than a empty unit. |
 |

|
Nice to end the year with a slightly
slower pace than the rest of the year. This year at work was one of
many hectic projects thrown together at the same time. Hopefully
next year everything will be more organized so we can concentrate on
building the company and portfolio more and not just putting out old
fires. |

The view across the street is getting
better as they are almost finished with the construction of the new
frost bank office tower that takes up most of the view outside the windows
to my office. |

Had a nice relaxing new years around
the house. Got to enjoy the new direct tv satellite that got installed
today. Now I think I'm spoiled with my 7 HBO channels. |
